In my never-ending quest to find innovative, vegan and eco-friendly cleaning products for my team and I to use I came across a sponsored post on FaceBook (well done Zuckerberg with the algorithms there) showing a product that claimed to be a showstopping multi-use product unlike any other. The video shows a multitude of our Australian friends, where the product originates, using this product on a variety of surfaces practically squealing with joy about how good it is. I am always cautiously pessimistic about these type of advertisements so spent the next however many hours of my night researching the product including going through a possibly embarrassing amount of reviews. I am so careful about spending money, as I am sure many of you are, and as the product retails for £19.98 + Postage & Packaging I had to be as certain as I could it was going to be worth that much money.
Koh certainly makes a lot of wonderful promises, claiming " Koh® radically simplifies traditional cleaning methodologies and process through a highly effective yet sustainable “clean anywhere, clean everywhere” approach."
I can't pretend to understand the science behind the product, which simply looks and smells (so, none) like water. But apparently it is something to do with minerals, and it lists a load of fancy science people on their website who helped develop. Not to be one to snub Dr Leigh Aldous at Kings College, as that guy seems way more qualified than No-doctorate-and-a-diploma-from-when-I-dropped-out-of-art-school-to-found-a-cleaning-business Jessica Baines, I trust that it is some high-science s*** that has made this quite the product.
Yep, there's the start of the actual review. This stuff is good. Now if Dr Leigh knows his science, then I know my cleaning, and I have to say that honestly if I had a partner who was willing to indulge me in my weird cleaning obsession and film my reaction when I first used it I would be joining the ultra-excited Australians on one of those videos and I am not ashamed to admit it (maybe why I am single but I will save that for wine with friends).
So without further ado, here is a no-frills breakdown of my thoughts on this product:
PRICE: 3.5/5
I do think it may be a little on the expensive side; the website claims that the standard 4.5 litre box lasts the average household 1-3 months, which I can see, but obviously for use professionally and as intended as a one-product solution I can't justify only using it exclusively for our work. But for a normal person who doesn't clean 30+ houses and businesses a week I think it's worth the money 100%.
THINGS I LOVED:
-I really like the fact it is refillable. So much less waste. -It is unparalleled on stainless steel. I have tried dozens of methods for this and I quite honestly think whoever named it "stainless" is laughing in their grave right now 'cos that stuff is a nightmare to clean.
-It's wonderful on glass, especially shower screens. It cuts right through grease and grime and leaves it streak free (if you know what you're doing with glass in the first place).
-It really is good on every surface I have tried.
THINGS I DIDN'T:
-I personally don't like that it has no smell. Obviously some people will like this and it does show just how clever a product it is, but I love a good fresh scent, especially for my customers who want it to feel, look and smell clean.
-It's not a polish. Yes it does clean your wood, but it doesn't give that glossy shine polish does, and I lovvvve a shine.
-The price. Again, I just can't justify using it on everything in a professional capacity or I'd have to eat beans on toast for the rest of my career and I love my customers but not that much to sacrifice food for, sorry guys.
WOULD I BUY IT AGAIN?
Yes. In fact I am buying each of my team there own box to refill as they please.
We do and will be continuing to use it in our kits.
OVERALL SCORE:
4.5/5

Oh wait! I am not done just yet.
The website at the moment is doing a deal where for an extra £5 ish you get a package with their cloths and 'Diamond Sponges' too.
THESE ARE WORTH IT. Let me explain why:
-The glass cloth is a good'un. Nothing special, you can get similar ones in Home Bargains for 30p but I have hundreds of these and I can never have too many glass cloths in my life.
-The green cloths are quite frankly fantastic. They surpassed my expectations. Now I know this is super boring but cloths are to cleaning what brushes are to make-up (people who don't wear make-up; that means like super important). I thought eh just some more cloths, but no:
They have a large surface area so in a nutshell=quicker cleaning
One side is smooth (good for buffing) and the other side is textured (good for cleaning more stubborn areas)
IT HAS A SCOURER ON IT! (Capitals totally justified). In the corners! So clever! So if you need a bit more of a harder clean it's right there!
-The diamond sponges are MAGNIFICENT. Honestly I would buy these in packs on their own. So good for cleaning anything that needs near a miracle. Really changed the way I clean.
Also special mention to their grout cleaning tool, which I bought separately at £8.99. Just an absolute babe of a tool and there are many people in Liverpool right now with ultra-clean grout thanks to the dream-team which is Green Clean Queens and this wonderful little tool.

So this is where I end our first ever review. Bit of a weird format. Lots of gushing. But I would definitely, definitely recommend this product and all the trimmings to anybody who wants a compact, eco-friendly, vegan cleaning solution for their home and I am very glad I found it.
Hope you have enjoyed this (rant?) review! Let me know if it was helpful and what you'd like to see on here!
Lots of love,
Jess
